GLITCHING OUT
NOKIA
THE CHALLENGE
We were invited to create and composite the special effects to be added to this Nokia commercial. The challenge was to integrate the little glitch character into the filmed environments and make it feel like a glitch in the matrix, that could be solved by the help of Nokia.
THE SOLUTION
The cel animated character was created in flash and then composited into the environments using after effects. The glitch and colouring effects were added through the character and then it was degraded to make it feel like it was glitching out.
THE PROCESS
We worked on lots of research and development to get the texture and compositing of the character just right.
THE RESULTS
The client was so pleased with the accuracy and speed at which we worked. They felt the result was exactly how they envisaged the commerical coming to life and sold the idea perfectly.
